  1. Great product! 5 Star Review

I board my horses and their water buckets are always filled with cold water, even in the bitter cold. Got each horse a water bucket cozy so they each have one insulated water bucket and one regular water bucket. Even though they are in an insulated barn, when I went out to check on them on a 20 degree day, the bucket without the cozy had ice on top!
These things really work! Well worth the price for the piece of mind of knowing the horses will keep drinking when it is bitter cold!

  2. Helps to prevent thick ice 5 Star Review

We have tried the new design with 600 gm insulation. The Cozys work best on RUBBER and not plastic unheated buckets and we add warm water to the buckets. We find that the ice in the unheated buckets with the Cozys in subzero and single digit weather is much less (1/4 inch or less) than in uncovered buckets (frozen solid). In double digit temperatures, there is no ice in the unheated buckets with Cozys. We have just added them to our heated buckets also, to try using a timer to rotate how many buckets are heating at any one time and to thus decrease electric use

  3. You won't believe these! 5 Star Review

Currently having one of the worse winters in Ohio in years. I had ordered 3 of your cozies about a month ago but never got cold enough to see how they worked. Well-it's cold enough now and they are fantastic. 18 water buckets in the barn and the 3 with cozies did not have ice-the rest did. I'm going to order 15 more right now!

  4. Works Very Well 5 Star Review

When I moved my horse to a barn that has no electricity for his heated water bucket, I was a bit worried. He's an older chap with Cushings. He drinks a lot of water all night. At other barns I had seen insulated water bucket holders, but they were outrageously expensive and didn't work really well, especially in excessive cold. So, I did a web search and I found the Bucket Cozy. The price was reasonable enough so I ordered one. I wish shipping had been a bit quicker, but it was ok and I received it before Christmas. The first night I used it, the temperature got down into the 20's. Closed into his stall, the bucket with the cozy had NO ice, but the "open" bucket had a thin layer. Last night, the temperature got to zero. The "open" bucket was frozen solid and barely touched. The bucket with the cozy was almost empty, had some ice and a lot of hay (he's a dunker). He ONLY dunked in the water with the cozy because the other must have frozen too quickly. I am going to be buying a second cozy for the other bucket to assure he has 2 buckets of unfrozen water. Tonight it MINUS 10 degrees and dropping. This will be the ultimate test.

  5. A safe alternative to heating buckets 4 Star Review

Clever idea, very well made and it seems durable. The handle in the bottom of the insulation was needed. The horses had no trouble getting used to it. A much safer alternative to the heating buckets because you never know when their thermostats are about to fail. It happened to me when one morning I found the water in one of these buckets completely evaporated and its bottom burning hot!! At that point I searched for other options and I found the Water Bucket Cozy. So far, I have not seen any ice in the buckets. I would have given it 5 stars but I have not yet evaluated its full performance after a long winter of subzero temperatures. It could also keep the water cool during the hot summer days!

  6. Love the Water Buckey Cozy! 5 Star Review

With no outside winter water source, I hand carry one gallon buckets of warm water to five gallon buckets hanging on my pasture fence. When the first freeze came, I had two buckets of solid ice and couldn't even lift them over the pasture fence to try and thaw them. In frustration, I researched to see what other farms do about this without using electricity. I found the Water Bucket Cozy, ordered two and love them! They work-just as advertised. I only wish I had found them a long time ago.

Such an safe and easy fix to stop ice forming in your water buckets. These simple little gadgets attach easily to your horse's bucket and prevents the water from freezing. Add warm water and your horses will love you. My first one lasted 3 years. I happily replaced it and have 2 horses that are willing to drink even on the coldest of days.

I am very pleased with my bucket Cozy. I will keep it handy in case I have to stall a horse in the winter, or if I have a horse that needs to overnight in my trailer on a long haul. Thanks for making this product!
